Last week Monday, Leruo and his parents came through to me in Hartbeespoort for a quick session (I offer mini packages for session in Harties on selected week days).

Leruo, at 3 months old, wasn’t really keen on all this photo business, but gosh he’s just so cute, it is impossible to not take a cute photo of this little cherub.
His smiles were few, but the ones we captured were so worth it.

I met up with Kate’s parents a few weeks ago at delta park for some maternity photos, they were bursting with excitement, patiently awaiting the arrival of little Kate.

aaaaand hiding inside mommy’s beautiful bump was this little miracle..

Kate was a total angel at her first photoshoot, hardly a pee(p) out of her
and even though she was a very good weight, she just seemed so very tiny to me, so petitie.. so absolutely beautiful..
And her hair?  I felt bad every time I put a hat on that gorgeous hair
I am so very blessed that I get to spend time with all these little miracles.

I met up with Lienka and her wonderful parents at the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve a little while back and we had a wonderful session
Little Lienka is just 10 months old and such a delight.
When she smiles, there is this tiny little bottom tooth that peeps out, it totally stole my heart…
and she got up and walked and my heart melted..
Such a perfect little baby girl.

Dogs are miracles with paws

I’m starting off this blog post with the quote above.. it’s so true.. now for a little background about this shoot.
Natashja and I have been facebook friends for quite a while, this is the 2nd session we have done together, I was excited when she asked if we could do a session with her 2 new puppies.. and Husky puppies too.
Those that know me know how much I adore my animals, all of them, each one is unique and holds a special place in my heart.

We met up at the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve and the colours again were amazing, I am sad to see everything change as we head into winter, but I know it is important, the earth needs a rest, soon enough the green will be back.

We had a lot of fun at the session, let me just say that getting 2 x puppies to listen is hard work.. but we did it, and I think we created some beautiful portraits.  I love them lots.

When last did you get professional portraits taken of your children with their grandparents?  I LOVE that Natashja included her mom.. special moments to treasure forever..

Kaylin.. she wasn’t into the photos much, but we still managed to get some awesome photos.

Before I was a Mom 

Before I was a Mom -
I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was a Mom -
I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn’t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on – Pooped on – Spit on – Chewed on, or Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and My thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom -
I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests…or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom -
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn’t want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn’t stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life
so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -
I didn’t know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn’t know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn’t know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn’t know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known
The warmth,
The joy,
The love,
The heartache,
The wonderment or
the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

how blessed we are to have little voices call us mom <3

We’ve had so much drama at home this week, including a trip to the ER for little miss Boo, she is ok, thank goodness, just had to be glued up because she tried to climb out of the bath.. All I can say is thank goodness, stitches are a thing of the past.. I don’t think we would have survived stitches.
Anyways, I am  bit behind in admin, I am going to try catch up tonight and tomorrow, so if you are waiting for a reply from me, please understand, I will reply as soon as I can.
On that note : please also be aware that I am a work at home mom, I have Miss Boo home with me, although I do try to collect and reply to emails during the day, the majority of my work is done at night when my girls are in bed.  Emails are usually answered that night, this week however, as mentioned above has been chaotic.
