What equipment do you use?
I shoot with high end Canon digital photographic equipment.

How long have you been in business?
I started my photography business in 2006, photography has been my passion for many years though

How do I know which photographer to use?
A good question and often a very overwhelming one too.
The birth of entry level dSLR’s has made it easy for new photographers to jump head first into business, sadly this is often done without the knowledge needed to create quality portraits.
To avoid being disappointed (and wasting your valuable time and money), be sure to check the photographers portfolio. Make sure that what you see there, matches the vision you have for your portraits.
Don’t book a photographer purely because she (or he) is cheap, most often you will land up being extremely disappointed, especially when it comes to your newborn portraits, there is a really SMALL timeframe to capture the perfect newborn portraits, rather trust someone that knows what they are doing, that will keep your baby’s safety utmost in mind.
Safety first, always when it comes to photographing newborns.

Do you have a studio?
No, studio photography is not for me, I embrace the challenges of using nature to showcase you and your family in beautiful natural surroundings, and while I might at times utilize lights to enhance, I prefer using the beautiful light that nature gives.
I shoot on location, which we will discuss together when you book your session with me.
My newborn sessions have the option of coming to me for the session and I set up a studio in my home, this is all discussed in detail when you book.

What should I wear?
Once you have booked your session with me, I will send you my information booklets.
In there you will find tips on clothing choices, it will explain to you how I work and what to expect from our session.
For Photographers

Do you offer workshops for amateur photographers?
I do offer workshops on occasion, you can search facebook for Sweet Light Workshops to keep up to date.

I am a new photographer, please can you help me get started?
Very often I am approached by photographers asking me to critique their work and give advice on how they can improve their art, while this is always extremely flattering, it is also very time consuming for me, and I always find it hard to say no.
So with this in mind, if you’d like me to give you advice on your portfolio, your packages, your policies, and your business in general, you can hire me on a consultant basis at a rate of R250 per hour.
