I met up with Gemma and her parents last Sunday morning at Delta Park for their family photo session..
What a happy little baby, aw, she is just perfect.
totally stole everyone’s heart..

3 month old baby boy – Midrand baby and family photographer

I went to over to Panayioti’s parents house in Midrand to capture his 3 month photos, I last saw him at his newborn session which you can see here - look at how much he has grown?
He wasn’t really into his photos… until he had a little nap… of course I was right on hand to capture him in his slumber. He woke up in a MUCH better mood and we were able to capture him awake and smiling for us.

Aint he just SO cute?

I get to photograph him again in a few months when it gets warmer..
I cant wait to see how much he grows.

A tribute to all the Mothers out there..

Before I was a Mom

Before I was a Mom -
I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was a Mom -
I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn’t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on – Pooped on – Spit on – Chewed on, or Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and My thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom -
I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests…or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom -
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn’t want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn’t stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life
so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -
I didn’t know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn’t know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn’t know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn’t know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known
The warmth,
The joy,
The love,
The heartache,
The wonderment or
the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

how blessed we are to have little voices call us mom <3

Autumn Beauty – Johannesburg Maternity Photographer

I met up with Bronwyn & Alvin on Sunday morning at delta park for their maternity session and we had a fantastic session
The colour (and the light ) were absolutely beautiful, I do adore the warm colours Autumn brings, it’s really so very beautiful.

I don’t normally show so many maternity images on their own, I usually wait for the newborn session, but these are just far too pretty to keep to myself.

Life is not measured by the breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away

True beauty is a light in the heart

A few more weeks to go till I get to meet their little baby, boy or girl? shhhh! it’s a surprise

The A family – Johannesburg Family photographer

I met up with Samuel and his awesome parents last week in Newtown to capture some fun, hip portraits of them.
This is the 4th time I’ve photographed this family and each session is better than the last.
I had SO much fun and I swear afterwards I heard my camera give a happy sigh, she also knew that we had captured magic together..

Niloana – 12 days new – Hartbeespoort newborn photographer

I met up with Niloana’s parents a few Sunday’s ago to do their bump session and we made it JUST IN TIME as the little princess decided to come the very next day.. how lucky where we?
This little cherub was super sweet for me, and we had so much fun at her newborn session.
She is very much loved.. by everyone.
